At NorgesHus, every house is flexible when it comes to foundation type. It is very important that customers inform us before building begins what type of foundation they plan to use. This allows us to adapt the foundation drawings accordingly during the planning phase.
✅ Types of Foundations
Solid Concrete Slab With or without underfloor heating. If heating will be added later, NorgesHus will raise all window and door openings during production to match the final floor height.
Strip Foundations / Point Foundations Other types like concrete strips or isolated footings are also possible depending on the soil and project design.
🛠️ Installation and Protection
On top of the foundation, NorgesHus installs ICOPAL Bitumen strips under all exterior and load-bearing walls. This layer protects the timber structure from rising moisture.
All bottom wall beams are fixed to the foundation using galvanized concrete anchors, ensuring stability and structural safety.
